The Mie Meng Bird is north of the Jie Xiong Kingdom. It is a bird with a blue body and a red tail.
Mount Da Yun, which stands three hundred ren high, is north of the Mie Meng Bird.
In the Great Plains of Music, Xia Hou Qi performed the Nine Generations Dance here, riding two dragons, with a three-tiered cloud canopy. In his left hand, he held a fan, and in his right hand, a ring, while wearing a jade pendant. This is north of Mount Da Yun. Another version calls it the Great Plains of Legacy.
The Three-Body Kingdom is north of Xia Hou Qi, where the people have one head but three bodies.
The One-Arm Kingdom is to the north, where people have one arm, one eye, and a single nostril. They ride yellow tigers marked with stripes, possessing only one eye and one hand.
The Qi Gong Kingdom lies further north. Its people have one arm and three eyes, with both male and female characteristics. They ride patterned horses. There is a bird with two heads, red and yellow in color, that stays beside them.
Xing Tian contended with the Emperor for the divine power at this place. The Emperor severed his head and buried it on Mount Changyang. Xing Tian then used his chest as eyes and his navel as a mouth, wielding a shield and axe while dancing.
The women of Ji and the women of Xi live to the north, dwelling between two rivers. Xi holds a fish trap, while Ji holds a sacrificial vessel. The [unknown] bird and the Zhan birds, blue and yellow in color, bring destruction to any kingdom they pass through. These birds are north of the women of Ji. The [unknown] bird has a human face and lives on the mountain. Another version calls it the Wei Bird, which nests blue and yellow birds.
The Men’s Kingdom is north of the Wei Bird, where people wear clothes, crowns, and carry swords.
The corpse of the Ugly Woman is to the north of the Men’s Kingdom. She was born, but after ten days was scorched to death. She covers her face with her right hand. Ten days later, the Ugly Woman dwells within a mountain.
The Wu Xian Kingdom is north of the Ugly Woman. In their right hand, they hold a blue snake, and in their left hand, a red snake. They live on Mount Dengbao, where a group of shamans travels up and down.
The Bing Feng is east of Wu Xian, resembling a pig, with heads at both ends and black in color.
The Women’s Kingdom is north of Wu Xian, where two women live, surrounded by water. Another version says they live at a single gate.
The Kingdom of Xuanyuan is at the edge of this remote mountain. The shortest-lived person there lives for eight hundred years. The people have human faces and snake bodies, with their tails coiled over their heads. This is north of the Women’s Kingdom.
Mount Qiong is north of there. No one dares shoot arrows westward, fearing the hill of Xuanyuan. North of the Xuanyuan Kingdom is this hill, which is square-shaped and surrounded by four coiling snakes.
In these fields of heaven, the Luan Bird sings and the Phoenix dances with royal eggs, which the people eat. They drink sweet dew, and whatever they desire follows. All the beasts live together in groups. This is north of the four snakes. The people carry eggs in both hands and eat them while two birds guide them from the front.
The Longfish Ridge lies further north, and it resembles a wildcat. Another version calls it the Jia, where divine beings ride it to travel across the nine fields. Another version says the Turtlefish lies north of the heavenly fields, resembling a carp.
The White People’s Kingdom is north of the Longfish Ridge. Its people have white skin and loose hair. They ride the Chenghuang, a fox-like creature with horns on its back. Riding it grants a lifespan of two thousand years.
The Su Shen Kingdom is north of the White People. A tree called Xion Chang grows here, where they gather to defeat the Emperor and take it.
The Long-Leg Kingdom is north of Xion Chang, where the people have long hair. Another version calls it the Longfoot Kingdom.
In the west lies Ru Shou, who has a snake on his left ear and rides two dragons.
