Today, the teacher gave us an essay topic: "My Parents and I". I am really happy because my favorite people are my parents.
My dad is very tall. When my mom wanted to buy a QQ car, my dad said it wasn’t a good idea because he’s too tall, and sitting inside would make him uncomfortable since he’d have to hunch over. But in the end, my mom still bought it, because whenever my dad tells her not to do something, she always does it anyway. Actually, I really like my mom’s QQ car too—it’s green, unlike my dad’s car, which is all black.
My mom is very beautiful. Teacher Zhou, you’ve met her. When she came to the last parent-teacher meeting, you said she was the youngest and prettiest woman you’d ever seen. But that’s because you haven’t met my little sister yet. Her name is Xiaoxiao, and she’s already two years old. Xiaoxiao is the most beautiful woman in the world—at least, that’s what my dad says every day.
My dad is a bit biased because Xiaoxiao is his favorite. If I take Xiaoxiao to climb trees or feed her rum raisin ice cream, my dad will punish me. But before he can even hit me, I start crying loudly so that my mom will come and rescue me.
My dad runs a company. He helps people demolish houses and transport goods. Sometimes the workers get into arguments while moving stuff, and my dad always steps in to calm things down. He often says, “Peace brings prosperity. We can’t let the people in the capital go without fresh vegetables.”
My mom doesn’t have a job, but she’s very busy. She takes care of my sister Xiaoxiao every day, and she’s also expecting a baby brother. Dad says that after this baby brother is born, they’ll give me a baby sister too, so that we’ll have “prosperity all year round.”
I’m really looking forward to my baby brother because he definitely won’t cry as much as Xiaoxiao. Once he’s born, I’ll be able to climb trees with him and share rum raisin ice cream.
I love my parents very much. I think they are the best parents in the world, and we are so happy together!
