No One Would Ever Suspect that the Perfect Angel I’m Secretly Dating is Actually "Experienced" — Part 4

When I continued to pat her head, her face softened into a contented smile, almost like a cat, and I couldn’t help but smile back.

Still, how do I put this…

“Maybe you should put your clothes on, Hina.”

“—!!”

The sight of her discarded clothes, which I had helped remove, was oddly too real, or maybe too raw, and I honestly didn’t know where to look, so I silently apologized to no one in particular.

“I’m going to change, so please leave!”

“Yes!”

A few minutes later…

“…You can come in now.”

When I opened the door, she immediately threw herself into my arms. I tried to look at her face, but she turned away, so it seemed like her embarrassment hadn’t fully faded.

I wrapped my arms around her and returned the hug.

“We did something naughty, didn’t we?”

Despite her words, the “Angel” sounded happy, her voice practically bouncing with joy as she continued,

“I’ve decided something. …There’s a ‘perfect score’ I want to achieve, so starting tomorrow, keep an eye on me.”

I wasn’t quite sure what she meant, but it didn’t seem like a bad thing, so I nodded.

“Okay.”

“Will people be coming back soon?”

“…Yeah, probably.”

“I see. Then I should probably get going.”

I had actually met her parents before, but today of all days, it felt way too awkward to stay any longer.

Still burying her face in my shoulder, the “Angel” nodded and said,

“Thank you for doing something naughty with me.”

Like a cat that had grown fond of me, she clung to me and wouldn’t let go. I muttered under my breath that I couldn’t handle this, then leaned in to whisper in her ear.

“…If you keep inviting me, I won’t be able to hold back.”

Her face flushed a deep red, almost as if you could hear the sound of her embarrassment, but after a brief pause, she countered with:

“…That’s fine with me.”

How I got home after that is a bit of a blur. I did make it back safely, but I didn’t fully regain my senses until I was undressing to get in the bath, and the sweet scent of shampoo wafted into the air. At that point, I wanted to cover my ears to block out the voice in my head telling me, “You’re acting like an idiot.”

“—Man, I really want to go on the school trip with the ‘Angel’!”

“Hey, Tokito, can’t you use your power as class rep to make it happen?”

I snapped out of my daydream and looked at my two friends in front of me. The cafeteria was still bustling during lunch, and after finishing my slightly soggy ramen, I answered.

“Unfortunately, I can’t. If I could, I’d be the one going with the ‘Angel.’”

After returning my tray to the counter, I stepped out into the chilly hallway, fall now in full swing. We exchanged complaints about the cold as we headed back to the classroom.

On the way up the stairs, Shiramine called out.

“Tokito, something’s up, isn’t it? You’ve seemed kind of out of it today.”

…There was too much to remember. Kizaki chimed in, “You think so?” but I brushed it off.

“No, nothing like that.”

Just as I said that, Kizaki, with his sharp eyes, spotted the “Angel” standing in front of the classroom with some classmates, and the conversation shifted, giving me a moment to breathe.

“Oh, there’s the ‘Angel.’”

“Yeah, really.”

They’ve been talking about Hina non-stop, I thought, but I kept it to myself.

“Next homeroom is the big moment—picking groups for the school trip.”

“Hell yeah!”

“I should start inviting someone soon.”

As we reached the classroom, the “Angel” walked over to me. Wondering what it could be, I stopped, and then… she dropped a bombshell right in front of me.

“Tokito-san, would you like to go on the school trip together?”

Behind me, Kizaki was shouting, Shiramine was stunned, and even Takahashi and the other girls were left slack-jawed. But none of that registered as I focused on the “Angel.”

Then, she leaned in close to my ear and whispered in a shy voice,

“I want to get your ‘perfect score,’ Chisa-kun.”

“…Yeah, let’s go together,” I managed to reply.

The “Angel” smiled happily and said, “Let’s get ready for homeroom,” before heading into the classroom.

“…Is that the power of the class rep?”

I hesitated, then answered.

“…No, I don’t think so.”

As I came to terms with what had just happened, my heart wouldn’t stop racing. But it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling.

And so, that’s what it all meant.

Catching her again, this time it was my turn to lean in and whisper in her ear.

“Thank you, and by the way… you’re super cute.”

The love story with the “Angel” had only just begun.

[The End]
