The Supreme Goddess Bai Shuo — Chapter 10. Part 2

This battle between gods and demons, unseen for eons, was felt across the realms by those attuned to spiritual energies.

Meanwhile, over the East Sea, Zi Han, basking in the hospitality of the Old Dragon King, suddenly lifted his head, his face darkening as he sensed the disturbance. Without a second thought, he transformed into his enormous dragon form and flew at breakneck speed toward Purple Moon Mountain, seething inwardly.

“Who dares to cause a ruckus on Purple Moon Mountain!” If this fight disrupted Tian Qi’s ritual for creating Yue Mi’s divine body, even if he had to shrink back to a newborn dragon, he’d likely suffer a severe punishment!

The battle raged on the peak of Purple Moon Mountain for an entire day. Jin Yao fought as if he cared nothing for his life, his crown long discarded, his robes bloodied. Tian Yu, equally wounded, had lost any sense of caution, intent only on cutting down Jin Yao with his halberd.

The clash of celestial and demonic forces devastated the land surrounding Purple Moon Mountain, leaving the mountain itself the only untouched place, sheltered by its protective barrier.

“Old fool! You couldn’t protect your wife or your daughter, and now you think you’ll regain your honor by fighting me?” Tian Yu sneered as he pierced Jin Yao’s shoulder, laughing as blood spurted forth. “Once I’ve drained you dry, I’ll hang your battered sword in Cold Spring Palace as my trophy!”

Ignoring the wounds on his own body, which far outnumbered Jin Yao’s, Tian Yu pressed forward, recklessly spewing threats.

From a distance, Fu Ling watched her bloodied father, clutching the Cloudfire Arrow in her hand. She hesitated but ultimately loosened her grip. She had already sworn a blood oath to sever ties with him; if she relented now, she would be condemned to live forever in darkness as a despised minor immortal in the Heavenly Palace.

After a night and day of relentless combat, Jin Yao looked years older. Casting a glance at Fu Ling, who remained silent, he let out a deep sigh. His figure, along with his sword, began to glow and merge, transforming into a giant blade filled with divine power. As he hurtled toward Tian Yu, Jin Yao closed his eyes, pouring all his divine strength into the attack.

“If I can kill Tian Yu,” he thought, “Cold Spring Palace will fall, and perhaps… Fu Ling might return to the Heavenly Palace and let go of her hatred.”

As his divine spirit and sword combined, Jin Yao’s resolve was unshakeable, even if it meant obliterating his semi-divine form and starting anew as an immortal. His sole purpose was to protect his daughter.

In that crucial moment, Tian Yu, sensing his impending defeat, darted toward the weakened barrier surrounding Purple Moon Mountain. The enchanted blade, drawn to him by the guiding force of Jin Yao’s divine power, followed, breaking through the barrier and heading straight for the Soul Tower in the main hall.

Inside the Soul Tower, the flames had reached their peak. Tian Qi sat with eyes closed in the heart of the fire, his divine form nearly complete on the jade platform before him. In his hand, Yue Mi’s soul hovered, radiating a faint joy, as it inched closer to her new form. Sensing the familiar presence around him, Tian Qi opened his eyes, his lips finally curving into a soft smile.

“Yue Mi, at long last…”

His whispered words were interrupted as a powerful blast struck the Soul Tower, the divine energy shattering through its walls and bearing down on Yue Mi’s newly formed body.

Without thinking, Tian Qi dove forward, shielding her soul and body beneath him.

On the other side of Purple Moon Mountain, Tian Yu and Fu Ling looked on at the scene before them, feeling a deep chill of fear settle in their hearts.

The barrier of Purple Moon Mountain had been broken, and the entire mountain range was engulfed in a blazing green divine fire. Amid the flames, a towering emerald-green Soul Tower stood in the center, radiating an intense and unyielding godly power. Even the most ignorant observer could see now that Tian Qi was indeed within Purple Moon Mountain. As those nearby, frozen in shock, were about to beg forgiveness, a furious dragon roar echoed from the east, and a torrent of dragon fire surged toward Purple Moon Mountain.

“You fools! Who allowed you to trespass on Purple Moon Mountain?”

The raging dragon flames left both Yu Feng’s and Tian Yu’s entourages scorched, their faces blackened with soot. The four of them looked up, stunned and gasping, at the massive dragon, whose body nearly obscured half the sky, yet none dared to make a sound. Tian Qi’s divine mount was an ancient purple dragon, having lived over a hundred thousand years, and while people of the lower realms knew him as a cheerful young man, they had never seen him in his true form, radiating such raw power.

Well, this was truly the mount of a True God—a being that no deity or demon would dare provoke.

“Lord Dragon, the immortal Jin Yao forced his way into the demon realm, and on top of that, stirred up trouble on Purple Moon Mountain,” Tian Yu quickly began, attempting to speak before Zi Han’s fury could escalate. His words were plausible, given his bloodstained and disheveled appearance.
