I Seem to Be the Oracle of Blessings – But I'm Being Held Captive — Part 11

“Keeping me locked in a place like this, forcing me to bless corrupt scum, and now this bondage nonsense—what, do you fancy yourself my master or something?!”

The moment I yelled, the sky shattered.

“…What?”

Something like transparent glass shards rained down.

Before I could marvel at their beauty, they disappeared before hitting the ground—and then a strong hand grabbed my arm.

“Y-you’ve got to be kidding!”

“Let go of me—!”

“Woman, what have you done?!”

Ah, so he’s dropped the polite act. Somehow, that’s almost refreshing.

Even so, despite his sickly appearance, the snake-man was still an adult male, and I had no strength left to resist. Small and weakened as I was, I was powerless.

As he drew closer, half-panicked and furious, I was just as lost as he was.

“Did you break the barrier?! Damn it!”

I didn’t understand. A barrier? I didn’t even know one existed.

Ignoring my confusion, the snake-man began to drag me back toward the room.

“Ow, stop—”

“Quiet! If you’d just stayed a compliant doll, I might have treated you kindly!”

Oh, this is bad.

The bloodshot look in his eyes sent a cold shiver through me. I knew this was dangerous.

And then, suddenly—

“Well, well, what’s going on here?”

A deep, resonant voice fell alongside the glass-like shards.

Its tone was casual, almost mocking, but it carried a weight that dominated the space.

“A ‘most sacred barrier,’ huh? Pretty fancy stuff. How much did you pay the bishop for this, huh? Ugh, what a hassle. Should I just burn this whole temple down?”

Despite the lightness of the words, there was an unmistakable undercurrent of something powerful.

Honestly, it was exactly the kind of bass voice I found irresistibly attractive, but now was not the time to swoon.

“Ah… ah…”

The snake-man’s disgusting gasps seemed distant.

My focus, along with my gaze, was fixed on the sky beyond the courtyard wall.

“C’mon, you know who I am, don’t you, Viscount?”

The man stood there, effortlessly commanding the space.

Rough and wild, yet somehow refined—that was the impression he gave.

A beautiful beast. Though clearly human, that description felt most fitting.

“Spare me your excuses or groveling. At best, I’ll allow you a last word.”

Even the casual way he ran his fingers through his bronze-red hair was mesmerizing.

I couldn’t speak. All I could do was suppress the panicked screams echoing in my mind.

“W-what are you saying?! No matter who you are, you can’t behave like this in my household—”

“In your household, huh?”

The man glanced at me briefly, then let out a derisive snort.

“With divine power leaking out like a broken dam, along with a holy stone and sacred marks—did you really think I wouldn’t notice?”

It was, without a doubt, trespassing.

But such a mundane complaint held no weight in this situation.

At least, not before someone who clearly understood what I was.
