I Seem to Be the Oracle of Blessings – But I'm Being Held Captive — Part 13

In the next moment, I found myself secured in a broad, muscular embrace.

“Don’t worry about a thing. Just like you asked, I’ve come to save you.”

His casual wink and deep, honeyed voice broke down every mental barrier I’d desperately tried to keep up.

(Oh my god, what is this man?! He’s exactly my type! Is it even legal for someone like him to exist?! The strong features, the broad frame, the fighter’s build, those large hands, that incredible voice… He’s stunning, but not just handsome—he’s breathtakingly masculine! I barely reach his chest in height! He’s too perfect; someone please hold me!)

“…”

“Let me finish up here quickly. Later, I’ll be expecting to hear that cute voice of yours again.”

It’s over. I’m done. I’ve completely fallen.

I was already 90% there just from the idea of being rescued, but for my savior to be the living embodiment of my ideal man? Game over.

I must have looked agonized, struggling to keep my emotions from showing.

His grip loosened slightly, and his hand gently stroked my exposed back, as if to comfort me.

“…Stay back, alright?”

I nodded, reluctantly moving out of his arms.

I shifted to a position where I could observe the snake-man, finally taking stock of the situation.

“It’s over… all of it… haha…”

The snake-man had collapsed to his knees, defeated, not a hair harmed.

After all the shady deals he’d made using me to manipulate those crooked nobles, didn’t he have some secret weapon or trump card?

Not that it would matter with someone like Isaac here.

“Hey, at least try to put up a fight. Make it interesting,” Isaac taunted.

It sounded like the worst thing to say to someone in my position, but I agreed wholeheartedly.

How could the days of my captivity end so easily?

“No way, Commander. We set up a magic-sealing barrier. Trying to fight you hand-to-hand would be a death wish.”

The only entrance to the courtyard opened, and two figures stepped through: a casually charming man and a pretty, effeminate one wearing glasses.

Without hesitation, they restrained the snake-man with practiced ease.

“See? This is why I told you we didn’t need a squad,” Isaac grumbled. “Too easy—it’s boring.”

“Hey, we’re here on a personal favor anyway. But admit it, having extra hands makes things smoother, doesn’t it?”

“I’m just collateral damage at this point,” the effeminate man sighed. “I’m heading back to Captain Freta as soon as I can. And I’ll be teleporting outside this mansion, of course.”

The courtyard was suddenly swarming with men in black military uniforms.

It seemed that much had been resolved while I was left in the dark.
