Alice continued to observe Mina’s future. Her foresight had grown so precise that she could now choose what to see and when.
She discovered that when Mina was alone in her room, she often muttered to herself loudly:
“Why can’t I use foresight? How am I supposed to conquer my favorite without it? Ugh, these spirits are useless.”
“He’s supposed to be an arrogant jerk, but his personality is all wrong. Still, he’s definitely the best of the bunch. I really need to start focusing on just one of them…”
“I locked in the Lambert route, but why hasn’t the ‘rival girl’ event triggered yet? Ugh, so annoying!”
Sitting cross-legged in a most unladylike manner, Mina spoke in language incomprehensible to anyone in this world. Yet Alice, with memories of her past life, understood her strange mutterings.
By piecing together Mina’s ramblings, Alice deduced the truth.
(She’s like me—a reincarnated person. This world resembles the novels or dating-sim games that were popular in my past life, and she’s familiar with those stories.)
In such tales, the heroine typically built relationships with multiple men, eventually falling in love with one—or all—of them. Mina, it seemed, was the heroine of this world.
(Which makes me the villainess, doesn’t it?)
It’s only natural to think of myself as someone who stands in the way of the heroine’s romance.
Relying on her past-life memories of enjoying such stories, Alice speculated about her current position.
If that were the case, Mina had chosen the path of winning Lambert’s heart.
(He may be terrible on the inside, but at least he looks good.)
How wonderful of Mina to take on an unnecessary fiancé. To Alice, Mina began to seem almost divine.
As always, Alice peered out the classroom window, watching the courtyard below while glimpsing Mina’s future.
“I’m being bullied by Lady Alice of the Blumel Marquis family.”
“That’s awful! What a cruel woman. You must have endured so much to tell me. Leave it to me.”
During their secret rendezvous, Mina fabricated lies about Alice, and Lambert believed her without question.
(What a disgraceful man… I’d better prepare for false accusations.)
After witnessing their nauseating interaction, Alice turned her gaze to the clear blue sky beyond the window, trying to cleanse her mind.
She meticulously ensured evidence of her innocence and maintained her top ranking in academic tests. She also won every competition she entered.
Alice didn’t neglect her wind magic either, honing it to perfection so she could end Lambert’s life in an instant if necessary.
