I Was Ignored by All My Classmates, So I Decided to Fully Embrace the Life of a Popular Kid — Part 8

"Adachi-san, I have a ticket to the rock festival I’m performing at. Would you like it?"

"Huh? Really? Can I have it?"

"Yep. It’s one of the perks of being a performer. I thought it’d be nice if you could come and watch."

"I’d love to! Wow, this is an amazing seat!"

"Well, it’s an SS seat reserved for special guests."

"Thank you! I’ll definitely be there!"

"Good morning, Kawai-kun… What are you writing?"

"Morning, Adachi-san. Oh, this? I just had some lyrics come to me, so I’m jotting them down."

"Wait, are those lyrics for a new song? Can I take a look?"

"Uh… sure. Here you go."

"Thanks! …Wow. How do you even come up with lyrics like this?"

"Well… it’s just… a feeling, I guess?"

"That’s amazing! Can I hear it once it’s finished?"

"Sure… The composition will probably be done by this weekend. If you want, you can come over and listen at… my place."

"Your… place?"

"Yeah. Uh… but maybe it’s not a good idea for a girl to come over alone to a guy’s house?"

"No! It’s fine! I want to come!"

"Eh? Oh, uh… alright, I’ll get everything ready then."

“The boys in class are looking at you jealously!”

“Excuse me, may I have a word?”

“The Queen of the school has approached you!”

"Hey! Are you listening to me?"

…What a pain.

"What do you want?"

Not even trying to hide my annoyance, I replied, and I could see Sonoyama’s lips twitch in irritation.

Still, she flicked her hair behind her shoulder and declared in her usual arrogant tone,
"I’ve changed my mind. I’ve decided to make you my aide."

"…What?"

What is this girl even talking about? Is her head filled with flowers?

Though, I can guess why she’s saying this.

Recently, I’ve been posting photos of myself with Adachi, as well as pictures from my live performances, on the school’s underground bulletin board. And just the other day, I discovered a new board filled with complaints about Sonoyama and her clique.

Comments like, "They’re so full of themselves," and "They’re seriously annoying," were everywhere. One comment caught my eye: "Because of them, I couldn’t get Shun’s autograph."

Since transferring, I’ve had plenty of students secretly ask for my autograph when Sonoyama and her group weren’t around—like on the way to or from school.

But I turned them all down, saying, "If Sonoyama finds out, she might target you next. I can’t put a precious fan at risk." I even gave them a kind, caring smile as I said it.

Thanks to this, Sonoyama’s influence has been steadily declining, to the point where people are now openly badmouthing her anonymously.
